Had a wonderful experience here. I had the lite chicken dinner with Cole slaw and potato salad. The chicken was moist and just the right amount. It was a small chicken that made it more tender. The ribbons, trophies and articles celebrating Pete's mastery of barbecue tell you right away that Pete knowns what he is doing and helps out the local community as well. Free soft serve plus a hand washing station is also super cool. I loved my bbq chicken!

It's a solid option for barbecue! It's surprisingly light, without the really rich and fatty cuts you'd find at a lot of barbecue joints. That does mean that some of the meat lacks a bit of flavor and can be kinda dry. Their sauces aren't bad but I would appreciate a bit more variety. It's also curious that they don't offer straight-up brisket as a meat option (it's only available as a sandwich). I tried their 3-meat plate (with a hot link, of course—i ain't no quitter). It's a good way to sample several meats if you're hungry. My favorites are the ribs and the hot link, though neither really blew my mind. The huge cornbread muffin with honey butter is also good! Of course, you can't leave without grabbing your free soft-serve ice cream cone. It's absolutely nothing special, but it's a fun little treat. They have free Wi-Fi (the password is printed on your receipt) but it wasn't working when I visited.

Tasted better than it looks in the pictures. They never disappoint. Absolutely delicious . My mother is 80 and when she wants a beef dip sandwich she always asks for petes cuz the meats so tender its easy for her to chew and the au jus is on point. The staff is quick and efficient and all of them are sweethearts. Very laid back spot. Love that thier barbecue sauce is heated and that there are so many to choose from,if you dont like the first one you try,im sure u will find one you do like along their little row of pumps. Kinda pricey but always worth it.

From the moment I walked in, I didn’t even know where to begin — this place was just fun. The atmosphere had that lively, welcoming energy that instantly puts you in a good mood, and the staff couldn’t have been better. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The food was almost perfect. Everything I tried was flavorful and well-prepared, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. My only small wish? More brisket options on the menu — because what they do have is delicious, and I definitely would’ve loved to explore more of it. And the little touches matter too: from the free ice cream to the way the staff checks in on you without being overbearing. It all added up to a really great experience. Overall, I’d absolutely come back. This spot gets a big thumbs-up from me.

Awesome food! Worth the drive from West Seattle. My husband and I got all different sides to share and they were all awesome! Really thick cut fries and the Mac n Cheese was creamy BUT the baked beans were the best! Thick like chili but had a great sweet taste:) Don’t forget to get your complementary ice cream in the way out!!

I usually stop by this place when I’m in the South End — it’s always pretty solid. The spare ribs are my go-to, tasty every time. It’s also a nice touch that they offer complimentary ice cream at the end. Staff has always been friendly and never a long wait to get my order. Definitely recommend!

Very good BBQ, ribs are succulent. Chicken is moist and sauced. The beans are one of my favorite sides and the corn bread is crispy on the outside and so soft inside. Finally finishing it off with soft served vanilla ice cream is just the cherry on top.

BBQ Pete’s serves up tender, flavorful meats with great smoky taste! The brisket was juicy, and the sides were fresh. Fast service and clean spot definitely worth visiting going down to Washington every week.
